Ingredients
- Vegetable Glycerin, 3 ml
- Hibiscus Powder, 6 grams
- Onion Seed oil, 3 ml
- Sulfate free Shampoo bar base, 300 grams
- Oudh Twist Fragrance oil, 3 to 6 grams
Recipe
Time needed: 40 minutes
First thing to remember, always sanitize your work area and equipment with 99% Iso Propyl Alcohol, commonly known as Rubbing Alcohol.
- Pour the glycerin in a small bowl
Firstly, in a small mixing bowl, weigh and pour 3 ml of vegetable glycerin.
- Add Organic Hibiscus Powder
Secondly, add 6 grams organic Hibiscus Powder to it and make a thick paste.
- Add Onion Seed Oil to the paste
Thirdly, add 3 ml Onion Seed Oil to the paste and mix well.
- Weigh and melt the Shampoo Bar Base
Fourthly, in a heat safe container, weigh and melt 300 grams Sulfate Free Shampoo Bar Base and melt it fully.
- Add the Hibiscus and Onion Seed oil paste
Subsequently, add the Hibiscus and Onion Seed Oil Paste to the melted base and mix till its incorporated fully.
- Add the Essential / Fragrance Oil
Concurrently, add an Essential Oil or Fragrance Oil of your choice and mix well. Here we have added Oudh Twist Fragrance Oil.
- Pour in Mold and let it set
Finally, pour the mixture in a sturdy, heat proof silicon mold and let it set for 40 minutes.
- Demold and use
Once fully hard, pop the Shampoo bar out of the silicon mold. Your Sulfate Free Hibiscus & Onion Shampoo Bar is ready to use.
Packaging tips
In order to prevent your Shampoo bar from sweating, store your shampoo bars tightly wrapped in cling film. This will ensure that no environmental moisture interacts with the shampoo bar. This way, no water droplets get formed at the surface, making it sweat.
