Ingredients
- Soapy Twist Shampoo Bar Base, 300 grams
- Unrefined Shea Butter, 3 grams
- Unrefined Cocoa Butter, 3 grams
- Lavender Essential Oil, 5 ml
- Lavender Buds, 3 grams
Recipe
Time needed: 45 minutes
First thing to remember is that always sanitize your equipment and work space with 99% Iso Propyl Alcohol, commonly known as rubbing alcohol.
- Weigh and cut the Shampoo bar base
Firstly, weigh 300 grams of Shampoo Bar base and cut it into small chunks.
- Melt the base
Secondly, melt the base in a micro wave or a double boiler.
- Add the Butters
Thirdly, add 3 grams each of certified organic Unrefined Shea & Cocoa Butter and mix till they incorporate fully.
- Add the Essential Oil
Fourthly, add 5 ml of an essential oil of your choice and mix well. Here we have used Lavender Essential Oil.
- Pour the base into molds
Subsequently, sprinkle some dried lavender buds in the mold and pour the melted base into each mold. Leave it to set for 40 minutes.
- Demold the Shampoo Bars
Finally, once completely hard, pop the Shampoo bars out of the mold and your Sulfate Free Shea Butter Shampoo bars are ready for use.
