In this recipe, we have used Lemongrass Essential oil from Soapy Twist primarily because its 100% pure and is certified for purity by NABL certified lab and because it naturally brings to the table its insect repellent properties apart from purifying the air.

Ingredients
- Soy Wax, 200 Grams
- Lemongrass Essential Oil, 14 to 20 Grams
- Cotton Candle wick with metal sustainer tab
- Glass container
Recipe
Time needed: 40 minutes.
- Weigh the wax
Firstly, In a clean and dry heat proof container, weigh and pour 200 grams of Soy wax .
- Melt the wax
Secondly, place the container with soy wax in a double boiler and melt the wax till its fully melted. - Prepare the containers
Thirdly, while the wax is melting, clean three containers with a small amount of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and wipe with paper towel. Place a wick in each container using a wick sticker to secure it in the center.
- Add the Essential oil
Fourthly, once the temperature of the melted wax comes down to 85 degree Celsius or 185 degree Fahrenheit, pour in up to 14 to 20 grams of Lemongrass Essential oil and stir gently to ensure the oil mixes in well.
- Pour in container
Subsequentlhy, once the Essential oil is mixed in well, and the wax cools down to 60 degree Celsius or 135 degree Fahrenheit, pour the melted wax into the containers, filling them up to 3/4th capacity.
- Trim the wick
And then, after the candles cool down completely, trim the wick appropriate to the candle size.
- Leave it to cool down
Finally, leave the candle at room temperature, in a clean dry place, over night so it can cool down and solidify. For best results, let your candle cure for three to five days before using it.
