Ingredients
- Lavender Hydrosol, (30 – 50 %) 22 Grams
- Vegetable Glycerin – (1 – 5 %) 2.5 grams
- Sweet Almond Oil – (40 – 50 %) 24.50 grams
- Vitamin E Oil – (0.5 – 5 %) 0.5 grams
- Preservative – (0.1 – 0.2 %) 0.5 grams
Time needed: 15 minutes.
First thing to remember, always sanitize your work area and equipment with 99% Iso Propyl alcohol, commonly known as rubbing alcohol.
- Water Phase – weigh and pour hydrosol
Firstly, weigh and pour 22 grams Lavendar Hydrosol in a sanitized beaker.
- Water Phase – weigh and add Vegetable glycerin
Secondly, weigh and add 2.5 grams Vegetable Glycerin to the beaker and mix well.
- Water phase – add preservative
Thirdly add 0.5 grams plant based Preservative to the beaker and mix well.
- Oil Phase – weigh and pour carrier oil
Fourthly, in a separate sanitised container, weigh and pour 24.50 grams of Sweet Almond Oil.
- Oil Phase – Add Vitamin E oil
Fifthly, add 0.5 grams of Vitamin E oil to the oil phase and mix well.
- Check pH of Water phase
Subsequently dip a pH strip in the beaker containing the water phase and match its color with the pH meter given with the pH strips. Make sure to have a pH between 5 to 6.
- Pour in bottle
Finally, pour the oil and water phase together in a bottle as shown in the tutorial and your Bi-Phase Cleanser is ready to use.
How to Use
Before use, shake the bottle to activate the oil and water-based ingredients. Spray onto a cotton pad and gently glide across your face.
